Round 15 vs Blackburn (Away)

This week we travel up to Morton Park to take on Blackburn.

3 solid wins last week against the doggies saw all 3 teams just about consolidate some September action.

The panthers are a very strong outfit this year boasting all three teams in the top 4. A big challenge on Saturday for the Eagles, but also an exciting one against a club that will be prominent in finals this year.

A great day of football to be watched on Saturday as we will see just how well our 3 teams will stand up to the challenge from a team surely to play a role deep in finals.

SENIORS: (2.10pm)

A good win last week, but not convincing although the scoreline would say different. Again, we suffered from inaccurate kicking syndrome that saw us amass 22 behinds out of 37 shots at the pins. Not good enough against a quality team and this week it could prove the difference in taking the 4 points, or none at all.

Blackburn are sitting 4th on the ladder and level on wins, but with a favourable draw in the last 3 rounds have seen the experts tip them to finish 2nd on the ladder which realistically should be the goal for the Eagles now Norwood are two wins clear on top. This week could prove the difference between 2nd and 4th at the end of the year and with it, a double chance.

This is a must win and any lapse in game plan will see the Panthers take full control. They took the points off us in round 4 earlier this year by less than a goal, its time for the Eagle to claim them back!

RESERVES (11.55am)

Winners by 6 goals last time we played Blackburn at the nest in Round 4. This time it wont be as easy. The Panthers are full of confidence and so they should be. Sitting in 3rd place and sure to be a Grand Final contender, this will no doubt be a fantastic opportunity to show them who the yard stick of the Reserves are.

6 goal winners last week against South Croydon (who are on the same points as Blackburn) should give us good confidence leading into this week.

COLTS (9.40am)

Coming off back-to-back weeks of playing the top team and having a win and a draw from those two encounters is a very encouraging result.

The Panthers are a win and a half behind us and are sitting in 4th place eager to close the gap for a chance of a double crack at finals.

A solid win last week and out scoring our opponents in the draw the week before brings confidence of coming home with a win.

Go Eagles!!
