Round 16 vs Scoresby.

Back home at the nest this week against the struggling Magpies.

Scoresby’s Seniors and Reserves are coming off a combined 52 goal loss to Rowville and we will be looking to replicate this feat to boost our percentage come finals.

Percentage will play a big factor for placings in the finals as we tackle Noble Park and Balwyn in the last two rounds of the season.

Seniors (2.10pm)

A fantastic win last week against the Panthers moved the streak on to seven in a row.
Scores were pretty even up till half time, then a 6 goal to 2 second half saw the Eagles 26 points in the clear at the final siren.
A good win considering the experts had Blackburn the favourites and also consolidates us as the form team in Division 1.
The chance to rest a couple of players against the bottom side and a chance to bolster our percentage to reclaim 2nd spot and almost cement our double chance for finals.

Reserves (11.50am)

A disappointing loss last week which saw us lose our top spot and threaten our chance at a vital week off in the first week of finals.
A perfect opportunity to spread our wings and show a team that will be playing finals who the benchmark is, yet we couldn’t get our free flowing game happening.
Skill errors and missing targets killed us which resulted in bombing kicks to contests and us getting repeatedly out marked by a taller team.
Breeny’s boys are going to want to clean things up this week and present a flawless game if they want a spot in the team come finals as a good percentage boost this week could see us reclaim top spot.

Colts – Bye

A chance to rest the bodies this week after 3 grueling weeks. Back to back weeks of playing the top team and then playing another team in the top 4 saw us come out with 2 wins and a draw.
A fantastic 3 weeks considering the players missing over this period. The players who have stepped up and filled the void have been remarkable!
